This is another one of those how to save storage space idea posts so feel free to glaze over it.

Here's the main problem with armor in GW (as if you guys didn't know) for every piece you aren't carrying on your body, it takes up a slot of your limited storage space. I think from what I've heard increasing storage space is going to be too much work on the devs. Adding a new item problably is in the same category. Now you could just tell people to scrap/rebuy, but that can get very expensive. Extra mule chars is a possiblility, but not everyone wants to waste real-world money on that.

So that makes me think of two possibilities for alliveating the storage burden of excess armor/helms.

1. /armor (type) command. This would work like the /bonus command in that once you buy an armor it gets unlocked for your char to recreate. You just type in /armor and the set while you are in town and you'll get a new set. However /bonus is account based so this might not be possible.

2. Armor crafter functionality. Basically once you buy an armor peice, it is unlocked at that trader... meaning he'll craft you new ones on command for free. You'll still have to pay for dye and runes, but that does limit the financial burden some as well as the storage burden. In other words, armor crafters will work like hat crafters once you've bought that peice from them. If traders had a dye kit option (buy ten of every dye then you can turn them all in for a kit customized to you that'll let you dye armor customized to you) that would reduce the costs even further and for a time would increase the price of dyes as everyone would be buying them up to make kits.

Are there any other possiblities you guys can think of that would be easy enough for the devs to add?

Either way, I hope armor storage is considered in GW2's designs now so we don't end up with the current problems in the next game.

I cannot get behind additional armor storage, since not everyone stores, let alone buys, multiple sets of armor.

That being said, I can get behind simply being able to buy more pages of Xunlai storage w/ in-game gold. Start them off at a pretty reasonable price, and have each additional page cost more and more gold (maybe start at 1k, then 5k, 10k, etc).

Winterclaw, one flaw is in the suggestion:

I agree, there should be an solution to the armor issue. But what is their agenda and how much effort they put into this... sigh. You know... "all the Devs are working busily on GW2".
